While some of us continue to nurse sore heads from lengthy celebrations, others are springing into the New Year with gusto and vitality. Whatever your experience entering New Year, most of us elect to make New Year’s Resolutions and form plans to kick the year off to a productive start. Despite the best of intentions, more than 80% of us fail to meet these goals by year’s end, and 65% have fallen off the proverbial wagon by Easter!
One of the most insightful measurements (and just as valuable as setting new goals), is reflecting on whether you reached your goal in the preceding year – so come January 1, that’s exactly what we did. While we’re not one to blow our own trumpet, there’s one NY Resolution we made in January 2018 that we delivered upon, and just quietly, we’re chuffed! The Resolution we’d like to share with you was to ‘meet all client timelines’ – everyday, all day, all year. This included the improbable, the unlikely and more often than not, the almost impossible. Here’s how the year went…
We’d worked hard, hit deadlines and delivered on-time and within budget. Then, just when we thought we could hang-up our brushes for the year (and celebrate meeting our Resolution), two new projects rolled-in, both urgent, both requiring extensive time and attention and yes, you guessed it – both needing to be completed before Christmas – impossible? Not for Platinum Painting. While most companies would have laughed and said, “you’ve left it too late,” we took on both jobs and completed them on time and to an exceptional standard. But don’t just take our word for it, here’s a testimonial from one of the stakeholders:
“A delight to work with, focused on achieving the best outcome…. Platinum Painting exceeded my expectations.”
Reflecting upon 2018, we pulled up on-time, within budget, and finished the year with our New Year’s Resolution in-tact. Cheers to us – and to you – our valued clients, associates, friends and supporters. As we see it, it’s a team effort and we couldn’t do it without you 🙂
